Actually you start off with a 3,5, and 8 or 10 pound weights but as the exercises get easier you're supposed to increase the weight, not necessarily the number of reps you do with the same weight. Atleast that's what I do in the same amount of time and I believe what they tell you to do in the videos and booklet that comes with it......
