Although I am musically inclined myself, I would not be comfortable with my son playing the flute. However, if he wanted to play a string instrument (violin, cello, etc.) I wouldn't care though.

Yes. The men that are cheerleads (they are usually called Yell leaders) are physically fit, buff, and extrememly athletic. I don't think there is anything wrong with being a Yell leader.
