I understand the Democratic party would never go with Lieberman because he's a Jew and well, this country wouldn't elect a Jew for a while. He would have been the new Carter and pulled away an incredibly high number of evangelical and Jewish votes from the Republican party. But aside from him, Clark and Kerry are incredibly impressive people. It's as if one person pretty much decided the direction the Democratic party should take.
