How can you rant about KY and forget to mention UK Basketball??!! OK, seriously to add on, other faves of my second home - Kentucky lakes, Rick Pitino, the in-the-dark roller coaster at Kentucky Kingdom - I refuse to call it Six Flags, Mall St. Matthews/Oxmoor Center, and that college basketball team in Lexington ...not Transylvania ... the Wildcats ... thats the name.

5.) Experiencing all four seasons - some really hot summer days and some really cold winter nights!
6.) Caving - If you like to go caving or just like to explore random caves Kentucky is it! Mammoth Caves, Carter Caves, etc....all good camping and exploring sights.
7.) Marker's Mark! - ah yes, bourbon!!
8.) Illegal reasons! - ok, so I"m totally not in support of smoking pot. However, last year at Music Mid-Town in Atlanta - this guy was smoking right in front of me. I turned around to his friend and said "Lord, what does he have?". And the guy goes, "oh, its really good pot - you want some" I laughed and said, "No, really good pot is in Kentucky!" B/c that stuff smelled horrid.....and it took him like forever to even act like it was working, he looked like he was straining and his eyes were clear as day. Really good stuff smells like sweet grass! And I'll take my friends advice when they say it doesn't take long to work. So my advice, pot smokers - get your stuff from Kentucky!!

11.) Flatwoods, KY (where I"m from, yea I know don't laugh) - Proud home of Billy Ray Cyrus!!!! (ok, actually he is a really good guy, he paid for the unexpected death of one the girls I went to high school with )
12.) Ashland, KY (city right outside of Flatwoods) - Home of The Judds, primarily Ashley who loves UK basketball!!!

COSIGN!!! You have to love Kentucky. You missed one of my favorite things, though, which is the countryside scenery...the green rolling hills, farmland, sometimes horses in the fields, the leaves all bright colors in the fall...ah, now I'm missing my home!!!
And did someone mention UK basketball?
