What kind of commercials make you cry? Is there one specific commercial? November 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada, where we remember those who've participated in wars (including those who lost their lives). Right before 11/11, there was a phone commercial where a 20-something guy calls his grandfather via cell phone back in Canada and tells Gramps that he's in France. Gramps asks him if "the girls were like I remembered" (or something to that extent) and how he used to love Paris. 20-something guy then tells his grandfather that he isn't in Paris, but in Dieppe (where a major battle was fought in WWII). As a history major, that commercial makes me tear up!!
