And there's a very good reason for this - collegiate athletics are like having a job on top of school. My coach allowed us to go Greek, but there were never more than 2-3 on a team of 170. When you agree to play sports for a school, you're agreeing to the terms of your coach.

Like several others have posted, there's a tendency for teammates to pledge the same house. One of the fraternities at Platteville has been known as the "football frat" for quite a few years, although they're starting to move away from that image.
