Delta (my home chapter) still holds a Holiday formal event (sometimes it is called Snowball Formal, sometimes it is not), but we can't hold it at the House anymore (Visitation Rules), and the whole "pelting each other with snowballs" thing would just be a Risk Management nightmare!!!
