I hope I'm not intruding but these are my thoughts on this. It does sound like a tricky situation with work and balancing it with contacting your Doctor. I know that there are times where I hate to see my eye doctor or any doctor for that matter. That and it comes up at the worst time. I would say just work in as best as possible with work. I'm sure they'll understand if your forthright with them. I mean it is your body and no job is worth more than you.
I know that my Grandfather had a history of cysts. They werent malignant though. I had a small one about two months ago and my doctor put me on an antibiotic and after two weeks it disappeared and never came back. If it did I'm sure he'd just freeze it off or try some other kind of medicine. However, I'm not a Doctor though. I wish you the best with this situation.
