When I was in school, we had a rush party called Delta Airlines, but I wouldn't think that would be much fun as a date party. We also had a rush party based on the movie "Animal House," only we called it "Delta House." If you used that you could go with a 50s theme.
Maybe you could do an ocean theme and play up the dolphins and pearls.
One of the best date parties I went to was at the local children's museum, which has nothing to do with Tri Delta, but was a lot of fun.
