My line was the first to cross at my school. Even though I'm a founder I still was on one (my DP was from a different chapter) anyway--I had a pledge process and all of that. All of the founders of my chapter came from Beta-Epsilon lines (that covers Spring '98-Spring 2000). We are all conidered founders because we all pledged/crossed over while we were still a colony. The lines after that (Zeta-present) would be like what you described.

Most sororities do it like how you said, but Gamma Sigs are weird When I was DP at one of our newest colonies I did the same thing--they are Alpha Line at that school. Hope that cleared it up a little bit.
