At Auburn, it was a big deal to be able to wear the pins of your honoraries with your NPC/NIC pin. You wouldn't wear a regular-sized honorary pin with it--they cost extra anyway--but rather the tiny ones with the interlocked letters. The more the merrier.
Therefore, just below my arrow and encircled by the chain of my guard, I would wear my tiny Alpha Zeta, Pi Alpha Xi, and Omicron Delta Kappa pins. I had others but more than that took too long to put on! Other people, however, would wear 6 or more honorary pins with their NPC/NIC pins.
