This article isn't surprising. Just a manifest of how discrimination has gone somewhat subrosa.
If I have kids, I won't be giving them a "ghetto" name. I may give them African names as part of their overall name, but that would depend on my now non-existing husbandperson and what he would think.

I agree. I think people (us included) do assume that if you're name is Aquanetta, that you're probably from a particular segment of black society.
Although the article cited the name "Lexus" as one associated with the "best", I still can't get with naming a baby after a car or liquior - even if it is the best or most expensive.
