MTV House searched by the police
MTV SEARCH WARRANT
November 25, 2003
ET has confirmed that San Diego police have executed a search warrant at MTV's "Real World" house. According to a source, a complaint was filed by a woman on Nov. 14 that claimed she was date raped by an acquaintance of one of the cast members she met at a club. She further claims to have been drugged, taken to the house, raped and then left in the bathroom naked, according to the source. ET is told authorities, including a forensics team, searched the house on Nov. 18. "Real World" houses are rigged to cover nearly every corner on film and ET's source says the warrant included tapes that correlated with the alleged crime. Bunim Murray, the company that produces the show, have released a statement saying, "The producers and the cast of 'The Real World' are cooperating fully with local authorities investigating an alleged incident that occurred at The Real World house. None of the cast or crewmembers had any involvement in this incident."
