Here's what I was thinking craft-wise. I know you cross stitch - so how about cross stitching something they can use around the house? I'm making cross stitch trivets for my parents and in-laws this year. Or, you could get a couple of those hand towels that have a strip of aida cloth, and stitch up something simple (maybe a monogram or something). It would be nice and simple, but unique and memorable. I'm not sure I would give that as my only gift though... I'm giving the parents and in-laws something besides the trivets (as soon as I figure out what  )
