On the MTR in Hong Kong, there are automated announcements in Chinese (I presume Cantonese) and English that say things like "Please mind the closing doors", "Next stop: ___", and (as the train pulls into certain stations where the platform is curved so the doors aren't always quite next to the platform) "Please mind the gap between the train and the platform."

My husband and I had a running joke while we were in HK: "Please mind the gap between the train and the platform." "AHHHH!" "He did not mind the gap between the train and the platform."

OK, it was silly
