My parents wouldn't let us share a room until we were married. They had my old bedroom and a guest room to put us in. My husband would sneak into my room though
My in-laws made us sleep in separate bedrooms until we were engaged.
But, my MIL has told me outright that if she'd had a daughter instead of a son, she wouldn't have let her daughter share a bedroom with her boyfriend until they were married. Nor would she have allowed her daughter to move in with a boyfriend or fiance. Double standard much??
