We did our pre-cana - the Archdiocese of New Orleans calls it "day for the engaged." It was psychobabble new age crap and a total waste of our day. It had all sorts of worksheets that you were supposed to do and then compare the answers. I guess if you'd only been dating a year or two, it might be helpful. FI and i have been together for 6 years. We had all the "talks" so many times that we knew exactly what we were doing when we got engaged.
And it cost $100 for the day.
The whole deal was basically a set of glorified Cosmo quizzes, IMO
My FI and I took this test with our priest. Because our priest rocks, he let us take it orally - he said that its really 25 questions asked 5 different ways each. So he asked th big ones to us out loud - of course we more than passed
After the test he said "see you at the rehearsal!" Our priest rocks.
