The Illinois School Code prohibits high school students from belonging to fraternities, sororities or secret societies. That's how Glenbrook North decided it was able to punish the kids who participated in the powderpuff hazing incident.
Glenbrook South (GBS) is the Titans. Tommy the Titan, their mascot, is Greek. Going along with the Greek theme, a lot of the school-related apparel has GBS in greek letters. When my kids wear their sweatshirts, someone is always asking what sorority/fraternity is Gamma Beta Sigma??? So maybe those high school sorority girls from Illinois were actually GBS students???
