[b]*this episode has brought out MeezDiscreet's extensive vocabulary*
although she presented a compelling argument (a man who wears an afro and a marcus garvey shirt can only date black women

), i felt that she handled herself in a most disgracing way. for her to insinuate that, because kevin is not an African-American, malik shouldn't speak business to him is ridiculous. like kevin said, he and malik are FRIENDS. friends talk about their problems with each other. the purpose of the show is for people to overcome the contingencies of their backgrounds and connect with other people on a level that transcends race, gender, sex and class. by making every issue one of race, she is limiting herself as well as making herself, and her stay in new york, miserable. and, who does nicole think she is to be telling someone how to run their lives? and, to tell malik that she no longer considers him a "brother" because he dates women that look like her mother is absurd!
and on another note, i was speaking with one of my cousins who told me that she was about to have to give the real world up. she said, "every black person in the real world aint [biracial]." so true! see, they should have put mr. african mandigo on the show! lol!
