what I have learned this fall...
first things first, I'm a female and I'm a pledge of a co-ed fraternity
Some of the things that I've learned:
1. Brotherhood is formed when you spend an afternoon just spending time with your pledge brothers. It cannot be forced by projects set up by the members of the fraternity.
2. That everyone is not the same, that variety in people is soo much better than uniformity.
3. My pledge class can be infuriating, annoying, and rude but I love them all to death (even though Id rather not spend time with some of them)
4. That I love AFW with all of my heart and I love it more each day.
5. Most importantly, the saying "Greek life: from the outside you can't understand it and from the inside you can't explain it." is soo true.
I love AFW and I just can't explain how much I love it to my non-greek friends who don't understand how much an organization can mean to someone. They think that greek life is basically partying every weekend on Frat Row. I used to think that, but I've found that it is so much more. I can't wait til Friday, when I get initiated and I can proudly claim AFW as my own!
