"That gangsta"- Aids
"Ack"- cuttin up
" The fool" - more or less the same as "ain't no joke"
" get down" - getting out of the car ( You wanna get down?")
"Save groceries" - put up the groceries

sooooooooooooooooo many others
Don't let me get started on B-Town!! Da Flat (Lafayette) and its surrounding cities provided YEARS worth of entertainment for me and my people.

I remember I had a boyfriend from Eunice and I was in his car. We stopped somewhere and he asked me if I wanted to "get down." I nearly clocked him. Just a little miscommunication....

Here in New Orleans, there are PLENTY, but here are only two. I am too tired to come up with more! I'm sure that someone will have my back. If not, once I get some sleep and am refreshed, I'll have more.

We "make groceries": to go grocery shopping ( There is no food in the house. I need to make groceries.)

We order our po-boys "dressed": means that you want mayo, lettece, tomato, pickles, etc. on your sandwich
