I was in Cleveland a few years ago for a family reunion. There were a ton of people (about 200) there that I had never seen before in my whole life but were somehow related to me. I was wearing my lavalier when a woman came up to me and said, "You're a Zeta?!" She was my 2nd cousin. I then found out that my great aunt and a couple of other extended cousins (like 4th and 5th) were all Zetas as well. I think my 2nd cousin was a ZTA at Baldwin-Wallace in Ohio. My great aunt was a ZTA at a school in Michigan...can't remember which one. My other cousins were ZTAs at schools in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Another time, I was back in South Florida during Winter Break working at Bloomingdale's in Boca Raton. I would always wear my lavalier because there's a ton of people in South Florida who were in sororities. I was helping this customer; she was in her 30's and she was beautiful. She looked at my lavalier and said, "Oh my gosh! I was a ZTA at the University of Florida!"
I was helping this guy who was in his late 40's. He saw my lavalier and told me that he was a Sig Ep at UF and that his daughter was a ZTA there. He said, "Hold on! I'm going to go find my daughter and bring her over to you!" He introduced me to his daughter and we talked ZTA stuff for a while.
About a week later, I was ringing a girl up at my register when she asked where I was a ZTA at. I told her UCF. It turns out that she was a ZTA from my chapter. She had pledged in 1995 so she had already graduated by the time I went through.
