In a way that's a good thing though. It means nothing else was going on, nothing bad was happening, so they had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to come up with a story to fill the time.
I think the house sounds nice. It would be different if it was purple with gold trim, that would be a little too much , but gold with purple trim sounds nice.
