Let me try to rectify what I wrote in anger and let me anwer a few of your questions. Yes, I am in a sorority and yes I am disappointed at times at how sisters under the Panhellenic council treat each other at times. I don't know how it is at your school, but here, at mine...sisters have serious problems, some of them, with ladies in a different sorority.
Those of you whom have replied in anger at what I posted must have totally miscontrued what I wrote. What I meant, to clear up any misunderstanding, is that there have been some serious, disrespectful things done in the name of certain sororities against other sororities. Many join organizations just to wear the letters but really don't have the intentions of doing what the organization strives to accomplish. Enhancement of the the community for one. If you dispute this then you are just a liar...
And as for the white girl, stating that she was white and whatever...I don't care about that and whatever you read into what I said is totally off the mark. I don't care if you are white, black, red, yellow, the only point I made is that African American organizations stem from a long chain of support networks which helped African Americans cope with the racism that was going on in that time. You are the one that made it into a racist thing. When I wrote this I was replying to someone, it was a while back, I forgot who. Someone who said something about all organizations were stupid, etc... and I was replying to someone who downed Delta Sigma Theta...They were extremely caustic and rude.... Am I a Delta...no...I'm a Zeta...
