I'd go to your Primary care physician (PCP) and see if you can get a referral to a sleep clinic. It's a little unusual to be sleepwalking so frequently - the suggestions that it may be stress or a reaction to a medication are pretty good.
I did this often in childhood all the way up through college. Usually I would get up, and just start getting ready for the day. I'd wake up in the shower and find out it was actually 2am or something. A few times I held conversations with people, but I don't remember anything.
It *can* be dangerous to sleepwalk, as it looks like you've found out. While it may be embarassing or not seem like a big deal, I suggest you get it checked out. You don't want to accidentally spill a pot of boiling water on yourself or something (I nearly did this once... I was making food in my sleep).
Good luck!
Oh... and no, it's not dangerous to wake someone. The worst that will happen is they'll be confused, or frightened.
