If anything, living on campus was cheaper for me 'cause I didn't pay utilities and maintenance things (like TP, Lysol, light bulbs).
Not everyone can do the roommate thing as well as others can--and sometimes it's just not a very viable situation.
I know that at this age, I am over the roomie thing (unless it's Boy).
