You know I've noticed situations like this a whole lot among our parents generation. And definitely more so among our generation(s). (I'm talking the 18-34 folks.) A lot of people my age have no concept of money whatsoever and the boom of the late 90s did nothing to help this. Now that we're all nearly full blown "adults" I am scared for many of my friends. Their $30000 a year teacher salary will not buy nearly as much as daddy's $300000 a year rocket scientist job did. I fear for what it will take for them to realize that. Many of my classmates are in serious financial trouble because of overextension of credit.
However, back to the topic @ hand. Mama's karma came back around. Maybe this is a lesson for her. As tempting as it is, don't smirk and say "I told you so" but don't give her any $$$ either.
