Andi--

If you're concerned about roasting a turkey, I would check out the grocery store. No, don't get them to make it for you, but in the plastic wrap aisle you can find "oven roaster bags". If you cook your turkey inside one of those, it's practically guaranteed to come out very tender and juicy. It also cooks a little bit faster.

Instructions are right on the bag box and I swear, you can't go wrong.

As for asparagus--I'm a purist. Steam it til al dente and whip up some hollandaise sauce on the side. (Knorr's has a good mix version if you're shy about doing it from scratch.)

Good luck--I promise the first turkey dinner at home is the worst. You'll get the hang of it!
