utilizing officers to educate the alphas on what their area of expertise is, having prides teach certain lessons, make up skits, and encouraging the alphas to have fun with acronyms and other ways to remember the info are excellent reccomendations.
expounding on the senior/alpha lunch or dinner, i set up a lunch or dinner date with each year and the alphas once a week for the alpha period... first week with seniors, second juniors, third sophomores... i also set up a get together with exec and the alphas, they made them dinner at the girl's house... i also set up a couple things with the different glo pledge classes on campus but the important thing to remember is that there MUST be deltas present with the alphas if they have an "inter-fraternal/sorority pledge class dinner" or whatnot... like adpiucf said, make sure it's in your plans and it passes through your advisor....
what i enjoyed best about the position was just pretty much spoiling the alphas and making sure that the chapter did too... even things like making die-cut hearts or violet cut-outs with messages, door decs, stuff that you can get for free from student activities (or enlisting sisters to do it too depending on how many alphas you have) that show how much the chapter loves them will go over well and be appreciated. also,
don't forget your alphas once they are initiated! follow up with them, loosely set follow up "new delta" meetings with sisters, etc... have a set diamond sister day, or reunions with violets, hearts, or other unofficial sisters too!
