If you don't have sponsors, your show will not survive no matter how big the fan base is and how high the ratings are. Ask WCW.
Hence.....the show was so offensive sponsors backed out.
Lois: "Phew, we're going out. I don't have to cook."
Peter: "No, cook anyway, we'll throw it out. Don't want you to get rusty"
