I am kinda embarrased to admit that I have been,once, but I have done everything in my power to make sure that it never will happen again...When I was in high school, I had gotten a job working for Verizon (back then it was Bell Atlantic) in their customer service dept...we had to go through a two-week training course, during which we were not permitted to be absent or late...on the next-to-last day of training class, it was raining like cats and dogs and my bus was late...I arrived @ work 5 whole minutes late, and the next thing I know, I'm being "invited to leave" (my own phrase which sounds a little better than I was fired
) I was upset @ first because I knew that I was one of the best reps in my class, but I took a two-week hiatus from work, and found another job for the summer that paid me more
