Scholarships available for undergraduate special ed. majors, teachers at SU

The Department of Special Education has scholarships for full-time undergraduate special education majors pursing Bachelor of Arts degrees in Special Education (Mild/Moderate Disabilities).
Qualified candidates will receive a stipend of $8,000 per academic year and tuition costs.
To qualify, candidates must meet admissions criteria to teacher education, pass the appropriate sections of the PRAXIS Examination Series and have successfully completed at least 70 semester credit hours in teacher education with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
The Department of Special Education also has tuition scholarships for K-12 public school teachers seeking certification in Special Education (Mild/Moderate Disabilities).
Candidates must currently employed as a special education teacher of students with mild to moderate disabilities. Funding for the scholarships is supported by Project Impact, a federally funded teacher training program.
