In response to an earlier post, the Divine Nine [formerly the Great Eight, before Iota joined in the 90's] are the historically African American GLO's in the NPHC. There are numerous other African American GLO's, but either they do not want to join the NPHC, or are unable to satisfy the membership criteria [including longevity, sustatined chapters, and chapters in numerous locations].
