I am so glad someone is finally talking about this book. I had the pleasure of reading it over a year ago, around the same time I bought "Sorority Sister", A very good older friend saw me reading "Sorority Sisters" and asked me how it was. I told her that I loved it and she knows of my aspirations to become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. She said that to be a woman of AKA you must be able to expand beyond superficial qualities like beauty and fashion and reach deep in your soul. She gave me "The Coldest Winter" and told me to let her know what I think. I read the book in two days with a full clas load and full time job. The book was so stirring, however, I really hated the end. I was a fan of Sista Souljah a long time ago and was very dissappointed when her appearance at our school was cancelled. So my opinion on the book is
