I don't have dental and or vision insurance, either, per se. Now, our union does provide us with "benefits", if you will.
Vision
We can go to a certain place and the union gives us a $50 stipend towards our frames. I think the same thing is pretty similar for the dental part. I know you can get your teeth cleaned for free.
I use the vision benefit, but I do the dental thingy for FREE...one of my Sorors I brought in is a Dentist.
When she was a student, she came down here to do an internship at a local hospital. During those weeks, she lived with me. I knew I needed my remaining wisdom teeth removed. She took those bad boys out...NO CHARGE.
You have to use your RESOURCES!
