Two of my bestest
friends in the whole wide world are both Caucasian. Actually, Katy is 1/2 German and Persian and Chris is German & Irish. I would not trade them for the world! We've had our discussions and arguments about race in the US. We've agreed and disagreed. We're still friends, both over 12 years now.
I was maid of honor for one and bridesmaid for the other. Like any relationship, it takes work to keep them going. Regardless of race, religion, etc. The three of us are friends because we all accept & appreciate each other for who and what we are. I'm lucky to have friends like that. The only thing now is that they both live at least an hour away from me--Katy northeast in Sacto (Sacramento) and Chris in San Jose.
But then it makes me appreciate them more when I visit them.
