Sigmagrrl, please educate me about this yams with marshmellow dish...I have never heard of it and I am curious!
OK, small cooking lesson:

Get some cans of yams with pineapple juice at the grocery store. The best brand is Bruce's Candied Yams. Warm them in a pot. Then transfer them to a deep baking dish. Combine it with a small amt of butter, some maple syrup, some brown sugar, pineapple chunks, and some of the leftover juice from the can. Mash, but still leave it a little chunky (think mashed potatoes, smooth, but not). Cover entire top of yams with mini marshmallows and bake until the marshmallows on top are brown and melty (sort of like a 'smore)...Serve hot! YUMMY!
