Yay, a user from the Chicago 'burbs! As many GCers would agree, choosing to start a sorotity is an amazing, frustrating, rewarding process. There are a number of threads that talk about this, and I am sure that the women who have been through this will have lots to share. Look around at the variosu threads. There is a ton of information!!
Here are some questions whose answers would help GCers to help you:
1. Are there other women interested?
2. Have you spoken with student affairs/student activites
learn more about the process to become a new student
organization?
3. What is that process?
4. Have you asked student affairs/student activities about the
history (or lack thereof) on your campus?
I am sure other GCers will have other questions, but maybe this is a start. Think about specific traits or values that you would hope to find in a sorority. Look at as many inter/national organizations websites. REad them all, and read as much as possible just for information. And, keep asking questions on GC. This is a great resource!! Good luck!!
