There's a lot of pressure for people - especially women - to remain virgins. It's a precious gift, once you give it up you can never recover it, yada yada yada.

I have no problem with virgins - except the ones that are in-your-face about it - you know, "I'm a virgin, I'm never going to have sex until I'm married, therefore I'm going to heaven. You had premarital sex? Then you're damned to hell."

I've always felt that, if you have sex with someone, you should have some sort of emotional and spiritual connection with them first... not just for your first-ever sexual encounter, but for every single one. Sometimes being a virgin just means you haven't met someone yet with whom you feel that connection.
