He is considered "conservative" because he writes mainly for the benefit of those that would do harm to Black progress. His social criticism is not meant for the uplift of the people he writes about. He doesn't develop policies to help inner-city school districts nor give seminars to help Blacks develop strategies for bringing vouchers to embattled school districts.
