I RSVPed the the woman holding the event at her house and also wrote to the chapter president (who I initially made contact with) telling them both I was so sorry I couldn't make it and that I would miss speaking with them again....

Oh honey, I understand-this is the theme of my AI search!! I just got the fall newletter of events for the org that I'm looking at, and do you know that the next event I can make it to is in DECEMBER???
Every other time I'm working or am out of town for weddings.....believe me, I understand your frustration!!
