Got Discretion?

If a prospective showed up to my informational and was saying bad things about the other chapters, then I would not want to extend an invitation to her to join my chapter, it indicates bad greek unity. Also, people talk. The greek community is small and word gets out about prospective members. Is this right? No, but it does happen.

And finally, my advice to ANY pnm of NPHC/NPC/IFC/MCGLO/NAFLO is to not come on GC and post your intentions!!!

Soror Sigmadiva,

Say that, say that!!! Your entire post was on-point, but nothing hit the nail on the head like this quote.

Dear Aspirants (of any org),

The Greek world (ESPECIALLY THE NPHC WORLD) is very very small. You never know whose sister, cousin, best friend, or coworker is in the chapter you are trying to join, and the internet does not provide the anonymity that some think it does.

The best way to learn about an organization is through research and interaction with members and programs. The internet can be useful, too, but only when TACT and DISCRETION govern the tone of communication.
