Seriously though, I think one thing you should do is actually sleep with them before you "sleep with them"...yes that means spending the night in the same bed with your clothes (or most of them) on and actually closing your eyes and drifiting off into unconscienceness....
I love waking up with him next to me, wether we just slept or slept together...
