I believe fur is tacky, but I don't think it's totally immoral. If anything, the creation of synthetic fabrics (like Gore-Tex, Synchilla, and others) have made fur useless for cold weather protection, and only for the aesthetic value. My mother had an angora (ie, the rabbit is only shaved) jacket, and got rid of it because it seemed wasteful. She sold it to a licensed furrier and got a pretty penny.
Just because an animal is being raised for meat doesn't mean it has to be treated poorly. Think of Kobe cows.

Beer massages and regimented (but not frequent) exercise is much better than being chained to a dark pen and injected with hormones, doncha think?
And being raised on a farm has NOTHING to do with it. I know lifelong meat eaters, as well as vegans, who were raised on farms. It also doesn't give you any more credibility in these situation.
