How much of your Intern/National Communication is Electronic?

I am just curious-- we all receive quarterly newsletters and mail, etc., and we all have web sites, but does your GLO communicate primarily by snail mail or electronically?

Due to the costs of postage and printing, it would seem the more economical route to reach more members through electronic mail. Then you do have to take into account that there are a number of those who are not electronically literate, but at what point do you let those members dictate the method by which communication is distributed?

I was just thinking about that-- thanks for letting me ramble. I mean, as we are into the 21st Century, it would seem to make sense-- to get email newsletters from chapters and the national org, opportunities to donate to a chapter via online PayPal, etc....

Just curious to see what other thoughts were/what other groups are doing that is a really innovative way to communicate with members. I know there are lot of chapters out there without the financial resources to snail mail and print a newsletter even once a year, but would like to find a way to keep alumnae connected.

Ideas? Anecdotes?
