I think we, as Black women especially, have to remember that those superficial things don't necessarily bring happiness, much less contentment. What could be different?? Now, I don't know girlfriend, but:
She could have a different/better personality
She could have a different attitude
She could have a different relationship with the Lord
She could have a different outlook on her relationship with her father
She could have a different outlook about what it means to be successful
She could have a different criteria for selecting men
I could go on, but you get the picture.... We have to remember that all that glitters ain't gold. We might not have the body or the face or the million dollar contracts, but we have OH SO MUCH ELSE TO OFFER!!
