I currently live in Western PA. I don't like it too much because it is cold in the winter and there really isn't a stable Black professional atmosphere. But my church home has made all the difference in my being satisfied here until God is ready for me to move.
Here are my 7 city picks:
1. Houston, TX
2. Memphis, TN
3. Nashville, TN
4. Charlotte, NC
5. DC Metro Area (Maryland, DC, VA)
6. Richmond, VA
7. Atlanta, GA
I like each of these cities, and would love to move in their vicinity. Each of them has a wonderful Christian community, stable and growing Black professional community, decent weather, and are a part of the New Economy.
Lovely, I know how it feels to be in the dumps about the city in which you live. Just keep your head up and look forward to a day in which you can live elsewhere.
