The girl got NO pref. night invites, and she was (from what i hear) an awesome girl. She took part in informal recruitment at her school last year, and actually ended up pledging another chapter. I know that the other sororities were shocked that the original group didn't take her b/c she was the ONLY legacy at the school. very strange.
Just off the top of my head, I can name three freshmen women that this exact scenario happened to - with three different legacy sororities involved! I always get nervous when a chapter decides not to ask someone back because she's a legacy somewhere else for this very reason.

Aopiinthesky, our legacy policy is basically the same as yours. They must be invited back once, but are not to be "led on". If everyone HAD to invite every legacy back to every party, then bid lists would just be legacies - and heaven help the legacy with a last name that starts with "W"!!
