I'll take issue with ya'll that think you have to go to a school to be a fan -- and if you're not, you're bandwagon?
My father, an OU alum started taking me to games back in the 80's (when OU won a couple NC's). I've been a fan since before I knew how to read. I ended up going to a DII school (that's not doing too bad this year either) but am still an avid OU fan (that's Oklahoma University).
In Oklahoma though, the closest thing we have to professional sports (football anyway) would be the Dallas Cowboys.
I've been lucky enough to get tickets to watch the OU-TX game down in Dallas. Plan to totally enjoy as OU pastes the whorns for a 4th year in a row
Bandwagoner, I am not.
P.S. -- Kitso, why would Texas ever have bandwagon fans? What the hell have they won recently? A couple of Cotton Bowls, a "shared" as Mack would put it South Division Championship (even though they didn't get to go to the Champ game) and a couple recruiting championships? To have droves of bandwagon fans usually means that a team has had some degree of success...
