I remember the McDonaldland charaters QUITE well from chilhood (I was born in 1980). In fact, I still have a red comb with Grimace on the top in my purse! I think it was a left over birthday party favor.
Did ya'll ever have the big metal Mayor McCheese on the playland? I used to climb up in that thing as a kid and get stuck! I was too scared to get down, but it was HOT up there too!
